Incumbent serves as Senior Contract Specialist in the Contracting Division with responsibility to assist the Team Lead and Branch Chief in coordinating and executing the day to day functions pertaining to the award of new contracts for acquisition and procurement of services (to include architect-engineer and environmental remediation), construction, and supplies/equipment for the District. Incumbent will perform duties with contracting to include acquisition planning, market research, oversight and participation in formal and informal source selection processes, cost/price analysis and negotiations. Assist lower graded contract specialists with the solicitation and award of contracts utilizing sealed bidding and negotiated procedures. Incumbent will be assigned complex high dollar contracts and task orders which will require participation on Project Delivery Teams; and perform pre and post-award duties for selected actions which are complex and politically sensitive.
