Management and Program Analyst
The Management and Program Analyst is a local expert in financial and other business management functions pertaining to emergency incident operations and is responsible for providing a variety of services to fire managers including training, performing evaluations, analyzing results, and developing and implementing proposals for more effective, efficient and economical operations on a local level.The Analyst evaluates and prepares reports with recommended action on business management operations during and after emergency incidents; provides expert advice and consultation to fire and field office managers on fire business management activities; analyzes results of incident operations and prepares reports with recommended action; acts as a program coordinator for HR related functions; and serves as a primary contact for the fire district.
Qualification Requirement Using Specialized Experience or Education: In order to be rated as qualified using specialized experience, we must be able to determine that you meet the definition(s) below; please be sure to include this information in your resume. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.For GS-09: One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level in the federal service. Specialized experience is further defined as the ability to analyze and evaluate effectiveness of line program operations in meeting goals and objectives; advise all staffing levels; evaluate business and management practices to improve organizational efficiencies; --OR-- Completed a master`s or equivalent graduate degree; --OR-- Completed two (2) full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree orLL.B. or J.D., if related; --OR-- A combination of education and experience described above.You must meet the qualification requirements by the closing date of the announcement.
