Part-Time Physician - Radiologist-Non Invasive (Kernersville HCC)
The Salisbury VA Medical Center is seeking a Part Time, Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) Radiologist to work in a dynamic growing department. The Radiologist is responsible for all aspects of Imaging at the beautiful new Health Care Center in Kernersville NC. The Radiologist will work part time, two days per week, and will perform and interpret General X-Ray, Fluoroscopic examinations, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Bone Densitometry, Nuclear Medicine, and Minor interventional procedures such as joint injections. Mammography is not required. Strong proficiency in Body Imaging with dedicated Body fellowship training is preferred, although other high quality candidates will be considered.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The work requires some walking, standing, bending, lifting and carrying light items such as paper, books, and charts. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

Basic Requirements:Must be proficient in written and spoken English.Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia. Reference: VA Regulations, specifically VA Handbook 5005, Part II, Appendix G-2 Physician Qualification Standard. This can be found in the local Human Resources Office. PLEASE NOTE: Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
