Deputy Chief Security Officer
As the Deputy Chief Security Officer (DCSO), you will:
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with counterparts in the security, law enforcement, and intelligence communities.
Direct the development and enforcement of security policies in compliance with Federal regulations and standards.
Coordinate security measures at DHS HQ facilities necessary for visiting dignitaries, foreign heads of state, and other personnel requiring heightened security measures.
Develop security compliance and verification programs consisting of vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
Develop and maintains a DHS incident response plan, incident response team, and investigation methodology. Interacts and coordinates with law enforcement and cyber-crime investigators in the event of a computer security incident or cyber-based fraud.
As a basic requirement for entry into the SES, applicants must provide evidence of progressively responsible leadership experience that is indicative of senior executive level management capability and directly related to the skills and abilities outlined under Technical Qualifications and Executive Core Qualifications listed below. Typically, experience of this nature will have been gained at or above the GS-15 grade level in the federal service or its equivalent in the private sector.

Technical Qualification(s) - Mandatory
TQ-1: Demonstrated leadership experience related to policy, development, and implementation of enterprise-level security programs, including physical, personnel, industrial, information, special access, insider threat and investigations as well as supporting training and compliance programs.
TQ-2: Demonstrated experience evaluating and recommending new proposals for enterprise-wide security projects and initiatives, which enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of security programs through the modification and adaptation of evolving security industry technology and best practices.
Ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI clearance is required for this position.
