Human Resources Assistant (Military/Office Automation), GS-0203-05
· Administers the Site Security Manager Program for the Real-Time Automated Personnel Identification System
· Serves as the primary contact to the Defense Manpower Data Center and Air Force Personnel Center to resolve all RAPIDS hardware and software issues.
· As lead VO is responsible for researching and resolving DEERS issues through coordination with AFPC, DMDC, and other Armed Forces components project offices.
· Updates, inquires, and processes actions through Personnel Data System.
· Uses multiple office automation software with varied functions to produce a wide range of documents, reports, etc., pertaining to the personnel programs.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: At least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade (GS-04) or equivalent. Specialized experience must include experience with policies, procedures and requirements in preparing and processing various awards, commendations and decorations to appropriate authorities.
At least 4 years of education above high school.
A combination of specialized experience and education above high school.
In addition to meeting the above, a qualified typist is required. Must be able to type at least 40 words per minute.

TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) Restrictions for GS Positions: TIG is applicable to all federal employees who have held a GS position in the last 52 weeks. Candidates may be advanced without time restriction to positions up to GS-05 if the position to be filled is no more than two grades above the lowest grade the employee held within the preceding 52 weeks.
