Human Resources Assistant (Mil/OA) - Military Requirement
The primary purpose of this Air Reserve Technician (ART) Enlisted position is to serve as a Human Resources Assistant (Military) accomplishing a wide variety of tasks associated with Customer Support programs. As such, the incumbent of this position will perform the following duties: Validate documents contained in the Personnel Records Display Application (PRDA).Ensure accuracy of Personnel Data System (PDS) and performs functional review of data reliability.Verify eligibility for issuance of ID cards to military members, family members, civilians, contractors, and retirees.Perform actions in Automated Reserve Orders Writing System-Reserves (AROWS-R).Conduct in-house, classroom, and on-the-job training on applicable Customer Support programs.
You must have at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 or to the next lower qualifying pay band under other pay systems in the Federal service which involved maintenance of military personnel records, adherence to regulations, and the execution of military personnel programs. (To be creditable, specialized experience must meet the above quality level requirements).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs): (1) Knowledge of the purpose, content, and use of military personnel records. (2) Ability to analyze, determine accuracy of, and complete various records and forms. (3) Knowledge of military personnel regulations. (4) Ability to relate military personnel regulations and established procedures to specific cases.
Substitution of Education for Experience: NONECONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Position may or will require incumbent to: (1) Must meet and maintain Air Force Reserve military requirements. (2) Obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance. (3) Incumbent's regular assignments are primarily ART duties: however, the incumbent may be assigned some non-ART duties, generally not to exceed 30 percent of total responsibilities. (4) This may be a drug testing designated position. The incumbent may be subject to random testing for drug use. (5) The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortable to do the work, However, there may be some walking, standing, bending and, carrying of light objects. No special physical demands are required to perform the work. (6) The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safely precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated.
