Human Resources Officer (Military)
As an Human Resources Officer (Military) with the Texas Air National Guard (ANG), your duties will include, but will not be limited to:Manage Force Support programs through subordinate supervisors and senior workers that supervise technical and administrative activities within organizational sub units.Manage, direct, and administer military human resources and personnel programs for the assigned and supported organizations. Perform strategic planning in support of wing long-range objectives. Plan and direct personnel mobilization and deployment activities through the Installation Personnel and Readiness office.Perform other duties as assigned.The full Position Description (PD) can be found at the following link:
General Experience RequiredExperience, education, or training which involves the exercise of analytical ability, judgment, discretion, and personal responsibility, and application of substantial body of knowledge of principles, concepts, and practices applicable to one or more fields of administration or management. Experience using computer and automated systems. Specialized Experience RequiredTo qualify at the GS-12 grade level your resume must include relevant experience with beginning and ending dates of employment/experience reflecting at least 36 months experience, education, or training involving the administering, delivering, maintaining, advising, and adapting advanced concepts, principles, and theories of Human Resources to the unique organizational, management, and mission requirements. Experience assisting in the development of Human Resources policies and procedures. Experience advising management on Human Resources principles and practices. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing, and assigning work of personnel. Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience None. Compatible Military Assignment (per UMD): Applicants need not be assigned to the position or possess the AFSC to apply or be considered; however, applicant must be Duty AFSC assigned to a compatible position in accordance with statutes and National Guard Bureau regulations upon selection.AFSC: 38P3
