As a Budget Officer, you will:-Provide representation for Ginnie Mae with the Departmental Budget Office, Office of Finance and Accounting, OMB, and the House and Senate Appropriation Committees.-Direct the budget process for Ginnie Mae. This includes the preparation of Ginnie Mae staffing and program justifications and supporting schedules for submission to the Departmental Budget Office, The Office of Management and Budget, and the Congress.-Direct the preparation of staff year allocations in conjunction with the Office of Administration; development and maintenance of a budget control system to assure compliance with budgetary limitations and allocations; and development of operating plans to assure proper management of budget allocations.
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.For the GS-15, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: - Leading a team in the development of policies, systems, and procedures for budgeting and managing funds;- Interpreting and applying executive orders and policies to ensure compliance with laws and regulations ( i.e. Appropriation Law); and - Providing direction and solutions to management on budget and operating estimates. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
